About the Vina Cobos Hobbs Estate Malbec 2020
With the inaugural vintage of Cobos Malbec in 1999, Viña Cobos marked a milestone in viticulture, defying existing standards and firmly positioning Malbec and Argentina on the international wine scene. Since then, their prestigious wines have been recognized around the globe by critics and consumers alike.
Ruby red color with good intensity. Aromas of cherries, cedar and hints of graphite. On the palate the wine is full, rich and round with good tension, chewy tannins and a long finish.
95 Points - James Suckling
A luscious yet crunchy red with crushed berries, hibiscus, oyster shells and redcurrants. Tight and chalky tannins on the palate, closed and linear at the end. Very fine for the vintage. New wine from Cobos and giving a nod to the Hobbs family. Drink or hold.
