About the Veuve Clicquot Brut Cave Privee Rose 1978 750ml
54% Pinot noir, of which 15% vinified in red, 28% Chardonnay and 3% Meunier, with a dégorgement in 2008 and dosed 4 g/l. is composed of wines from 21 Grands and Premiers Cru of the Mountain of Reims, the Grande Vallée della Marna and the Côte des Blancs. Beautiful salmon pink color with shades of orange peel, complex and varied nose, with the aromas of the fruit more concentrated than in 1979, apricot, then a beautiful red citrus, dried flowers, dried fruit, almond, aromatic herbs, white pepper. It then turns on the tertiary sector with notes of undergrowth and earth, moss, dry leaves, mushrooms, up to the white truffle and as in the old sauternes comes a breath of hydrocarbons. This magnificent champagne presents a nice balance with an excellent return olfactory taste, which pervades the dynamic and deep palate and a minerality on the long finish. Unforgettable.
