Sophistication and balance.  Taittinger Brut Réserve is made from 40 % Chardonnay, 35% Pinot Noir and 25% Pinot Meunier, using perfectly matured grapes harvested from over 35 different vineyards. This subtle blend results in a light, elegant and balanced champagne.

The high proportion of Chardonnay (40 %), allows the Brut Réserve to reach its full aromatic potential after maturing for 3 to 4 years in the cellars. It is unusual for a non-vintage blend to have such a high quantity of Chardonnay, and this is what makes this non-vintage blend so balanced, consistent and world-renowned. It is an excellent champagne, suitable for any occasion.

Attractive golden hue. Refined, expressive nose suggestive of brioche and almond. The palate shows seductive fullness, mellowness and creamy texture yet also freshness underpinning the whole.

90 Points - Wine Spectator    Open-knit and lively, with ripe yellow plum, white cherry fruit, almond skin and candied lemon zest flavors, underscored by minerally smoke and chalk accents. Offers a clean-cut, lacy finish. Drink now through 2018. 1,000 cases imported. 

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate    Taittinger's Brut Réserve is the signature cuvée of the house and represents a large volume. It is an assemblage of 45% Chardonnay, 35% Pinot Noir and 20% Pinot Meunier; the recent disgorgement (dosage is pretty sweet with nine grams) is based on vintage 2011 and contains 30-35% reserve wines. It is a pretty intense Champagne with good body and structure, refreshing mineral tension and good grip in the finish. 

Wine Enthusiast    The nonvintage Taittinger cuvée, with its lively mousse, is soft and creamily fruity. While the bottle tasted was young, it had enough ripe white fruits and lime-juice flavors to balance out the freshness. Typically for Taittinger, Chardonnay is an important element in the blend, giving the wine its final mineral tautness.
