Quinta Das Carvalhas Vintage Porto 2015 750ml

Winemaking:
This Quinta das Carvalhas Vintage Port is produced from a selection of plots of Vinhas Velhas where a truly surgical vintage is made to harvest by hand only the grapes that are at the desired levels of maturation. Once harvested, they are transported to the cellar in small boxes, starting the ancestral process of treading on foot in traditional granite presses, which, due to their shape, allow perfect contact between the must and the skins, allowing further extraction. Fermentation is interrupted by the addition of wine spirit, followed by an aging in oak vats for a period of 2 years.
