About the Palazzo Brunello di Montalcino DOCG 2017
A traditional-style Brunello from Palazzo's 4 hectares of sloped estate vineyards in the southeast of the appellation. From organic, gallestro-rich soils and aged for 3 years in Slavonian oak before extended bottle aging.
Intense ruby red with beautiful garnet reflections. Balsamic and floral notes accompanied by aromas of black pepper, currants and small berries. Delicate and well balanced with soft, velvety tannins and savory, mineral notes.
Try paired with braised meats, wild boar, duck or aged cheeses.
93 Points - James Suckling
Intense nose of dried currants, cooked cherries, mocha, walnuts, leather and black olives. It’s full-bodied with firm, fine-grained tannins. Rich and succulent with excellent concentration and delicious chocolate and dark-fruit notes.
