Massolino Langhe Nebbiolo 2023 is a charming, vibrant, and approachable red wine produced by the esteemed Massolino family in Serralunga d'Alba. Sourced from young vines across estate vineyards in the Barolo region—effectively serving as a declassified Barolo—it is aged in large Slavonian oak casks to preserve its primary fruit character. In the glass, it shows a bright garnet red hue with delicate aromatics of crushed roses, wild strawberries, ripe red cherries, pipe tobacco, and subtle anise. On the palate, it is medium-bodied, fresh, and energetic, offering layered red berry flavors supported by fine-grained, chalky tannins, bright acidity, and a clean, spice-tinged mineral finish.
