Krug Clos D'Ambonnay 1995 750ml

Krug Clos d’Ambonnay 1995 is the first Champagne of this exceptional terroir ever created.

The year 1995 in the village of Ambonnay had a mild, slightly rainy winter with two short periods of frost in January and March that had minimal impact on the vines. The spring was sunny and warm with a long period of heat from late June until the end of harvest. The wines of the year exhibited great fruit expression and freshness. A promise of generosity, elegance and length.

The House chose to reveal Krug Clos d’Ambonnay 1995 because the circumstances of the year gave a Champagne that fully expressed the potential of this walled plot.

Intense gold with slight hints of violet, recalling its Pinot Noir origins.
The bouquet boasts remarkable complexity and intensity; it is opulently creamy with a hint of hazelnut and brioche along with papaya jam and mango aromas while also distinctive and earthy. On the palate, this Champagne is dense and intense with extraordinary freshness and wonderful length.
