About the Kim Crawford Illuminate Rose 750ml
The grapes were picked, stems were removed, and they were gently crushed directly to the press with minimal contact with the skins. Despite the short time on the skins, the wine still has a vibrant color. The clear juice obtained was then fermented at a cool temperature using specific strains of yeast to preserve the distinctive characteristics of the grape variety.
'Spinning Cone' technology is employed to lower the alcohol content in a portion of the initial wine. This method utilizes a low-pressure distillation process that selectively removes alcohol while preserving the wine's aroma. The alcohol level is reduced to below 1% in approximately 60% of the final quantity, and then 40% of the original wine is blended back to achieve a final alcohol content of 7%.
Tasting Notes
Aroma: Bright aromas of watermelon with berry fruit and floral notes.
Palate: Elegant and finely flavored on the palate with crisp acidity, fresh berry flavors and a dry finish.
Food Pairings: Ideal as an aperitif or summer sipper, this easy-drinking wine also pairs perfectly with lighter salads and other fare.
Color: Pretty pale pink color.
