About the Louis Jadot Chambertin Clos De Beze Grand Cru 2017 750ml
The Chambertin vineyard is situated on a chalky soil in the depth and clayey at the surface, which makes the wine both powerful and round.
Pairs well with roasted salmon, roasted chicken, grilled red meat : beef, lamb chops, osso bucco, stew, ragout, bœuf bourguignon, duck, partridge, quail, deer, young wild boar, teppanyaki beef, mashed potatoes with salted butter, Cîteaux, Mont d’Or.
Wine Enthusiast
This wine is all about power and dense tannins. It also has surprising charm from the open black fruits. Although it will age, this wine is also likely to be ready to drink after 10 years. Cellar Selection
There’s a wild and exotic edge to the nose with red and violet flowers, blood oranges, pomegranate and an array of fine, bright red fruit, as well as a dusting of hard, brown spices and wild-forest notes. The palate is succulent, very juicy and intense and has an athletic tannin structure with powerful, long tannins that hold the finish well. Very old vines, planted in the 1920s. Try from 2024.
