About the Jacob's Creek Heritage St. Hugo Coonawara Cabernet Sauvignon 2018 750ml
TASTE: Elegant and structural at its core with fine chalky tannins complimented by an even floral fruit spectrum, enhanced with subtle toasted oak.
AROMA: Floral lift, perfumed blueberries and hints of cocoa with overtones of violets and cooling dried herbs
Pairings: Beef, Mushrooms, Crusted Ahi Tuna
94 Points - Cameron Douglas
There’s no mistaking the power and richness, variety and intensity in the bouquet of this wine. Aromas and flavours of blackberry and green olives, sweet cigar tobacco and roasted bell-peppers, dark violet scents and barrel spices of vanilla and clove. A whisper of mint then a dry stone earthy quality adds depth and complexity. Dry on the palate with bold tannis and acid line, contrasting fruit and oak qualities leading to a strong foundation and lengthy finish. An excellent wine ready for drinking on its own from 2025 or decant for service before then and enjoy with food.
