Lune d’Argent is the heart of Clos des Lunes’ production. They firmly believe in the future of this legendary terroir and its truly original style. With a touch of French oak, the Sémillon is dense and rich, the Sauvignon Blanc refined and precise. This cuvée of dry white wine promises to convey all the magic of Sauternes.
The 2023 Lune d'Argent is a refined and vibrant dry white Bordeaux that showcases the unique potential of the Sauternes terroir for non-sweet wines. It presents a pale gold colour with youthful green reflections. The nose is intense and aromatic, offering a complex bouquet of citrus zest, white peach, and exotic fruits like lychee, beautifully accented by floral notes of acacia and linden blossom. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied and generous, where the richness of ripe Sémillon is perfectly balanced by the crisp acidity of Sauvignon Blanc. It features a silky texture and a distinctive mineral salinity that leads into a long, precise, and refreshing finish with subtle hints of vanilla from partial oak aging.
