This year the Amarone Classico Campolongo di Torbe '13 gave us the most thrills with its vibrant aromas of plum and cherry jam, then a minty hint that turns to deeper notes of chocolate and spices. The palate is dense, taut, rich, with velvety tannins, topped off by a gratifying finish. Score - 3 Glasses (out of 3). (Gambero Rosso Italian Wines, 2022)
