About the Zumbador Tequila Anejo
Zumbador Tequila Añejo is the most refined and complex expression in the Zumbador portfolio, representing the pinnacle of their aging process. Produced at NOM 1499 in the Highlands (Los Altos) of Jalisco, it is crafted from 100% Blue Weber agave that has been slow-cooked in traditional brick ovens. This Añejo is aged for at least one year in hand-selected American white oak barrels, allowing the vibrant, floral Highland agave to integrate deeply with the wood.
On the nose, it offers a rich and seductive bouquet of roasted agave, dark chocolate, and toasted almonds, layered with sweet notes of vanilla bean and cooked honey. The palate is full-bodied and remarkably velvety, showcasing sophisticated flavours of butterscotch, dried fruits, and warm baking spices like nutmeg and cinnamon. The finish is exceptionally long and elegant, leaving a lingering impression of caramelized oak, a subtle hint of tobacco, and a soft, warming agave sweetness.
