Zenato Sansonina Evaluna Garda Cabernet Sauvignon 2019

Silty/morainic soils with the presence of clay are well-suited soils for Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc. Sandy soil elevates aromatics and creates softer wines, showing less tannin. The presence of clay allows a balancing act to sand, offering higher extract and colour. Vinifying in stainless allows for the fresh red fruits to emerge together with peppery characteristics of the Cabernet duo.

93 Points - James Suckling

Straight cabernet rendered in barrique. Tightly wound before a workout in the glass unravels currant, bay leaf and black olive flavors. The opus, the pixelated freshness consummated as finely wrought tannins and bright, juicy acidity, imparting drinkability in spades. It is very hard to find cabernet of such effusive deliciousness crafted in such a modern idiom. Bravo! Drink or hold.
