About the Zarate Albarino 2025
Zárate Albariño 2025 is a sensationally crisp, precise, and authentic expression of coastal viticulture from one of the historical pioneers of the Rías Baixas region. Cultivated using environmentally mindful and biodynamic principles in the granite-heavy soils of the Val do Salnés subregion, it pours a pale yellow-straw color with bright greenish highlights. The nose opens with a highly expressive and complex aromatic bouquet, bursting with fresh lime zest, crunchy green apples, and vine-plucked peaches, seamlessly woven with wet flint, chalky minerality, and a bracing ocean breeze salinity. On the palate, this medium-bodied white wine exhibits incredible energy, showing a textured and slightly creamy mid-palate derived from three months of aging on its fine lees in stainless steel tanks. Driven by a mouthwatering, vibrant vein of natural acidity, it carries layers of citrus, quince, and starfruit effortlessly across the tongue, culminating in a long, beautifully focused finish defined by a persistent, dry, and distinctly salty-granitic grip.
Food Pairing: Pairs spectacularly with fresh oysters on the half shell, grilled whitefish fillets, traditional seafood paella, or a crisp summer salad topped with fresh goat cheese.
