About the Yukon Single Malt Two Brewers Release 50
Produced by Yukon Spirits / Two Brewers in Whitehorse, Yukon, Release 50 is a milestone landmark bottling belonging to their "Classic" line. Distilled in small copper pot stills from 100% malted barley, this special release consists of a single mash distilled early in the distillery's history and aged for 14 years in oak casks, bottled at a robust strength to commemorate their 50th release.
Food Pairing: Aged Cheddar, seared ribeye steak, dark chocolate truffles, roasted pecans, or enjoyed neat as a celebratory digestif.
Tasting Notes: Deep copper amber with rich topaz highlights and heavy, slow-moving legs along the glass.
Nose: Rich and expressive, opening with toasted malted barley, dark honey, and ripe orchard fruits, followed by vanilla bean, polished oak, and warm baking spices.
Palate: Full-bodied, velvety, and complex, featuring caramelized sugar, sweet stone fruit, and rich malt upfront before developing into dark cocoa, nutmeg, and well-integrated oak tannins.
Finish: Long, warm, and lingering with notes of dark honey, sweet cereal grain, and gentle oak spice.
Serve: Enjoy neat at room temperature in a Glencairn glass, or add a few drops of water to open up deeper layers of fruit and oak.
