Douglas Laing & Co Xop Port Dundas 45 Year Old

XOP Port Dundas 45 Year Old is an exceptionally mature Single Grain Scotch Whisky from the now-closed Port Dundas Distillery in Glasgow, independently bottled by Douglas Laing for its 75th Anniversary Xtra Old Particular Diamond Collection. Matured for 45 years in a single refill hogshead, this rare release was bottled at natural cask strength of 49.9% ABV, with only 106 bottles produced.

Food Pairing: Sticky toffee pudding, crème brûlée, vanilla custard, toasted almonds, shortbread or mature hard cheese.

Tasting Notes: A rich yet elegant old grain whisky showing pronounced confectionery sweetness, creamy vanilla, cereal and gently developed oak and spice.

Nose: Candy floss and spun sugar develop into sticky date pudding and custard.

Palate: Fudge and vanilla lead the palate, accompanied by cereal notes and a mild touch of tobacco.

Finish: Creamy custard, honey and delicate sweet spice linger through the finish.

Serve: Enjoy neat at room temperature. A few drops of water may be added according to preference.
