Douglas Laing & Co Xop Cameronbridge 45 Year Old

XOP Cameronbridge 45 Year Old 1978 is an exceptionally limited Single Grain Scotch Whisky from Cameronbridge Distillery, independently bottled by Douglas Laing & Co. for the Xtra Old Particular 75th Anniversary Diamond Collection. Distilled in January 1978 and bottled in July 2023, it matured for 45 years in a single refill barrel, Cask No. 17713. The whisky was bottled at natural cask strength of 54.6% ABV, with only 98 bottles produced.

Food Pairing: Crème brûlée, buttery shortbread, mango tart, vanilla custard, cinnamon pastries, roasted nuts or mature hard cheese.

Tasting Notes: A mature and richly textured single grain whisky showing buttery sweetness, tropical fruit, vanilla and caramelized notes alongside warming spice and gently toasted oak.

Nose: Sweet and buttery aromas lead into vanilla, warm toffee and ripe tropical fruit.

Palate: Rich toffee and dried mango develop alongside vanilla pod, golden syrup and cinnamon-spiced pastry.

Finish: Long and warming, with lingering sweetness, gentle spice and toasted oak.

Serve: Enjoy neat at room temperature to appreciate its long maturation and natural cask strength. A few drops of water may be added gradually if desired.
