Xavier Vignon Arcane IX 'L'Hermite' 2016 is a complex and deeply expressive Southern Rhône red wine crafted from old vines in Gigondas. Winemaker Xavier Vignon utilized an innovative double-aging method—submerging selected wine barrels directly inside wine-filled tanks—resulting in exceptional plushness and structural refinement. In the glass, it reveals an intense ruby-purple hue with a bouquet of black cherry compote, stewed raspberries, garrigue herbs, graphite, dark chocolate, and exotic spices. On the palate, it is full-bodied, supple, and rich, featuring velvety tannins, vibrant mineral acidity, and an extraordinarily long, spiced finish.
