The Lakes Distillery Whiskymaker's Reserve Resfeber Single Malt Whisky

Produced by The Lakes Distillery near Bassenthwaite Lake in Cumbria, England, Resfeber is a special-edition English single malt from The Whiskymaker’s Editions series. Released in February 2023 as a UK distillery exclusive, its name refers to the restless excitement felt before beginning a journey. Built around cream sherry-seasoned casks with additional influence from red wine barriques, Resfeber explores a vibrant, fruit-driven side of sherry maturation. It is bottled at 46.6% ABV, non-chill filtered and at natural colour.

Food Pairing: Apple tart, cherry-based desserts, sticky toffee pudding, dark chocolate, aged cheeses, or roasted pork with a fruit glaze.

Tasting Notes: Vibrant and complex with a creamy yet tart character, combining orchard fruit, rich confectionery sweetness, floral notes and gentle warming spice.

Nose: Bright Jazz apple aromas meet rich toffee and treacle, followed by dried apricot and a gentle layer of baking spices.

Palate: Creamy and fruit-forward, with Maraschino cherry and toffee complemented by rose petal preserve and hints of summer pudding.

Finish: Warming and persistent, balancing creamy sweetness with lingering fruit and gentle spice.
