The Lakes Distillery Whiskymaker's Reserve Kairos Single Malt Whisky

Produced by The Lakes Distillery near Bassenthwaite Lake in Cumbria, England, Kairos is a limited-edition release from The Whiskymaker’s Editions series. Released in October 2023 as a UK distillery exclusive, Kairos takes its name from the ancient Greek concept of the right or opportune moment. This English single malt combines a rich dried-fruit character with polished oak, cocoa and warming spice, and is bottled at 46.6% ABV, non-chill filtered and at natural colour.

Food Pairing: Dark chocolate, sticky toffee pudding, fruit cake, aged cheddar, or roasted pork with a lightly sweet glaze.

Tasting Notes: Rich and elegant in style, balancing dried fruit and treacle sweetness with cocoa, fragrant wood and warming spice.

Nose: Aromatic and inviting, with sherry-soaked spiced sultanas, fragrant sandalwood and a light dusting of cocoa powder.

Palate: Balanced between dry and sweet, showing dried apple slices, light treacle sweetness, polished oak and layers of sweet spice.

Finish: Warming and persistent, with gentle spice and woody notes lingering as the fruit and sweetness gradually fade.
