About the Willamette Valley Pinot Noir
Crafted in the premier cool-climate wine growing region of Oregon, Willamette Valley Pinot Noir is an benchmark American red wine celebrated for its seamless blend of Old World elegance and New World fruit purity. Nestled between the Cascade Mountains and the Oregon Coast Range, the Willamette Valley benefits from cool Pacific breezes, warm summer days, and long, gentle autumn ripening periods. The region’s volcanic Jory soils and marine sedimentary clays impart a signature red fruit concentration, vibrant natural acidity, and earthy, forest-floor minerality. Sourced from sustainably farmed estate vineyards across iconic sub-appellations such as the Dundee Hills and Eola-Amity Hills, the fruit is hand-harvested at peak maturity with strict sorting. Fermented in small open-top vessels using ambient and selected yeasts, the wine ages in fine French oak barrels (20-30% new) for 10 to 12 months. The resulting Pinot Noir is silky, complex, and extraordinarily food-friendly.
Food Pairing: Pan-seared wild Pacific salmon, duck breast with cherry reduction, roasted rack of lamb, wild mushroom risotto, roasted pork loin, grilled cedar-plank trout, and soft-ripened cheeses like Brie or Camembert.
