Produced by WhistlePig Whiskey in Shoreham, Vermont, The Boss Hog X: The Commandment represents the tenth iteration in the distillery's highly coveted, ultra-premium single barrel series. Aged for a minimum of 10 years, this powerful single barrel, barrel-strength straight rye undergoes a double cask finish: first in craft Mead barrels, followed by secondary aging in custom resin-seasoned craft barrels infused with aromatic frankincense and myrrh.

Food Pairing: Charcuterie with aged cheeses, dark chocolate desserts, roasted duck breast, spiced venison, or pecan pie.

Tasting Notes: Deep copper amber with mahogany highlights and dense, slow-drifting legs along the glass.

Nose: Intensely aromatic and sweet, opening with blossom honey, toasted oak, and spiced mead, followed by resinous frankincense, sandalwood, ripe stone fruit, and warming rye spice.

Palate: Full-bodied and rich on the palate, featuring sweet honey, herbal tea, and brown sugar upfront before developing into complex herbal resin, black pepper, clove, and dark cocoa.

Finish: Exceptionally long, warm, and meditative with lingering notes of herbal sweetness, toasted oak, and aromatic frankincense.
