Whisky Trail Knights Dailuaine 2009 13 Year Old

The Whisky Trail Knights Dailuaine 2009 13 Year Old is a single-cask Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky distilled at Dailuaine Distillery on October 5, 2009 and independently bottled by Elixir Distillers on February 8, 2023. Matured for 13 years in Hogshead Cask No. 315772, it was bottled at cask strength of 52.9% ABV, with natural colour and no chill filtration. The release was limited to just 100 bottles.

Food Pairing: Apple tart, dark or milk chocolate, roasted almonds, hazelnuts, citrus desserts or buttery shortbread.

Tasting Notes: A fruity, waxy and malty Dailuaine combining orchard and tropical fruit with chocolate, nuts, citrus and gentle oak.

Nose: Green apple, milk chocolate, almonds and walnuts, with milky coffee and a rich nutty character.

Palate: Balanced and waxy with chocolate, lime, ripe kiwi and raspberry jam, accompanied by malt and gentle oak.

Finish: Lingering cocoa, aniseed and citrus, with a fresh, lightly waxy character.

Serve: Enjoy neat at room temperature. Allowing it time to rest in the glass or adding a few drops of water can help reveal its fruit and malt character.
