About the Equinox & Solstice Pulteney 2008 13 Year Old 48.5% ABV 700ml
A small batch release of 830 bottles created from the mix of two 1st fill barrels and one refill barrel. All distilled in 2008, matured for 13 years and bottled at this series' trademark strength of 48.5%.
As is characteristic of the Equinox & Solstice series, this is a vividly fresh and natural example of Pulteney. Gently coastal with notes of chalk, hessian and white flowers, but with enough peppery and lightly waxy backbone to evoke its Eastern Highland origins. Direct, charismatic and easy drinking - a perfect dram for sharing and for spring.
The label art this year has been created by Melissa Nash and explores themes of ecology and our proximity to nature.
