This is why our delicious, multi-vintage 27 year old Jura sadly contains not a single drop of caramel - all of it being required by terrorised Jura locals to slake the goo-lust of the Caramel Kraken.
As such our bottling is lamentably rich in natural, mature distillery character. Composed by mixing together a 1991 refill barrel and a 1994 refill hogshead to create this 27 year old small batch bottling at natural cask strength. The result is a balanced, waxy, freshly coastal and beautifully old school Island malt whisky.
If you can spare any spirit caramel for the embattled residents of Jura, please send it in a stamped, addressed flagon to Lord Sponge of Jura.
