Whisky Sponge Edition No.64 is a mix of two refill hogsheads of 1997 Dailuaine, bottled at natural cask strength of 48.8% after 25 years of maturation.
A rather lush and juicy example of Dailuaine. Classic, fuller-bodied Speyside in style with sweet biscuity richness, yellow fruits and soft, peppery waxiness. Two reasonably low-volume hoggies were mashed together and this is the rather delectable 25 year old result. Shows plenty maturity at a hyper-gluggable natural strength without any overt woody elements. Braw!
