"Whisky Sponge Edition No.86 is our very first ever (and who knows, maybe last as well) Blended Scotch Whisky. But wait! We hear you cry. Isn’t Angus a massive malt whisky snob/bore/twit/idiot? Yes, yes he is, but this is a 1969 46 year old blend at a natural cask strength of 46.6% and it is abnormally delicious and seemed like a crime to pass it by.
"We do not know the recipe for this blend, except that it was all distilled and filled in 1969, aged in oak for 46 years, then bottled at natural cask strength in 2015. It tastes old, delicious and like an old and delicious blend. If you like very pleasurable, well-aged whisky, then you will find this a highly satisfying product to possess and destroy at your convenient leisure."
