The Weingut Frey Spätlese Riesling is a classic German dessert wine from the Rheinhessen region, known for its luscious sweetness balanced by a vibrant, "searing" acidity. Produced by four generations of the Frey family in Ober-Flörsheim, the wine is crafted from organically farmed vines and fermented using native yeasts in stainless steel to preserve its fresh, primary fruit character. It typically features an aromatic bouquet of ripe yellow plum, apricot, and quince, layered with cool chalky minerals and citrusy vigour. On the palate, it is medium-bodied and harmonious, offering rich flavours of white peach, candied orange peel, and dried apricot with a long, elegant finish.
