Dr. Loosen Wehlener Sonnenuhr Riesling GG 2020 is an exceptional, dry Grosses Gewächs Riesling produced from un-grafted, century-old vines (Alte Reben) in the steep, blue Devonian slate soils of the iconic Wehlener Sonnenuhr vineyard. Fermented with ambient yeasts and aged in traditional oak casks, it exhibits a complex, slate-driven nose with white fruit, citrus, and delicate floral aromas. On the palate, it is concentrated, silky, and elegantly structured, delivering vibrant lemon curd, quince, and mineral salinity supported by racy, electric acidity and a long, persistent finish.
Food Pairing: Pairs wonderfully with pan-seared sea scallops, roasted pork loin, spicy Thai or Asian cuisine, grilled halibut, and aged semi-hard cheeses.
