Wayne Gretzky Four Grain Whisky

Distilled at Wayne Gretzky Estates in Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario, this third entry in the limited Craftsmanship Series is a masterfully blended Canadian whisky made from four distinct grains: rye, wheat, barley, and corn. Aged for 5 years in American virgin oak and once-used ex-bourbon barrels before receiving a finish in maple casks, this bottled-at-50% ABV expression balances sweet vanilla and butterscotch with bright citrus and a warm, rye-and-wheat spice structure.

Food Pairing: Maple-glazed bacon, pecan pie, aged Cheddar cheese, roasted pork loin, or dark chocolate.

Tasting Notes: Rich amber gold with warm copper highlights and medium-to-heavy viscosity along the glass.

Nose: Gentle and inviting, opening with vanilla bean, sweet butterscotch, and fresh caramel, followed by toasted malt, bright citrus peel, and soft maple warmth.

Palate: Surprisingly creamy and full-bodied on the palate, featuring sweet corn, buttered toast, and honeyed cereal upfront before developing into baking spices, cracked black pepper, and warm oak.

Finish: Medium-to-long with lingering notes of sweet maple syrup, toasted grain, and gentle wood spice.

Serve: Enjoy neat at room temperature in a Glencairn glass, or add a splash of cool water to soften the 50% ABV and unlock sweet citrus and malt aromas.
