Wayne Gretzky 99 Proof Whisky Gift Box

Produced by Wayne Gretzky Estates in Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario, this premium seasonal gift pack pairs a bottle of the distillery's high-proof small-batch release with branded tasting glassware or barware. Crafted from locally sourced Ontario grains. Malted rye, unmalted rye, and corn. The whisky is matured in traditional oak casks for a minimum of 3 years before receiving a 100-day secondary finish in Cabernet Sauvignon barrels from the estate winery. Bottled at 49.5% ABV (99 Proof in homage to Gretzky's legendary jersey number), the expression balances rich rye spices with sweet toffee and deep red wine fruit notes.

Food Pairing: Charred steaks, prime rib, smoked brisket, dark chocolate, or aged blue cheese.

Tasting Notes: Deep amber bronze with warm golden highlights and medium-to-heavy viscosity along the glass.

Nose: Rich and inviting, opening with top notes of toffee, sweet grain, and subtle wood smoke, developing aromas of orange peel, ginger, almond, star anise, and tree fruit.

Palate: Full-bodied and robust on the palate, featuring baked cherry, dark raisin, and sweet toffee upfront before evolving into licorice root, dark cocoa, and cracked pepper.

Finish: Long and lingering with a smooth texture, fading into notes of spicy clove, roasted nut, and dry oak grain.

Serve: Enjoy neat at room temperature in a Glencairn glass, or with a splash of cool water to tame the 49.5% ABV heat and reveal citrus zest and fruit aromas.
