Whisky AGE Whiskutopia Glenrothes 10 Year Old Cask #9137

Whiskutopia #3 is an independently bottled Glenrothes 10 Year Old Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky, distilled in 2013 and bottled by Whisky AGE. This limited single-cask release was matured in a First Fill Manzanilla Sherry Hogshead, Cask #9137, and bottled at a powerful 65.6% ABV. Only 120 bottles were produced. The Manzanilla cask brings a rich combination of ripe fruit, raisins, citrus, honey, nuts, toffee and spice to Glenrothes' fruity malt character.

Food Pairing: Pair with roasted pork, cured meats, aged Manchego, mature cheddar, toasted almonds, fruitcake, dark chocolate, or caramelized nuts.

Tasting Notes: A concentrated sherry-cask Speyside malt combining ripe fruit and berry sweetness with raisins, honey, nuts, caramel and warming oak spice.

Nose: Fresh cereal and toasted notes open into raisins, citrus, honey and nuts, with pronounced sherry-cask richness and warming spice.

Palate: Rich and powerful, showing ripe grapes, dark berries and fruit preserve alongside toffee, roasted nuts and warming spice.

Finish: Medium to long, with lingering sherry character, dark red fruit, nuts and drying spice.

Serve: Enjoy neat after allowing it to rest in the glass. At 65.6% ABV, a small amount of water is recommended to gradually open the fruit, sherry and spice characteristics.
