Vietti Barolo Castiglione 2021

Vietti Barolo Castiglione 2021 is an exceptionally structured, harmonious, and aromatic red wine produced by the renowned Vietti estate in the heart of Piedmont, Italy. Sourced from a carefully selected blend of small Nebbiolo parcels across multiple prized crus in the Barolo zone, it undergoes temperature-controlled fermentation and is aged for nearly two years in a combination of large oak casks and barriques. In the glass, it displays a bright garnet-ruby color. The nose presents a complex, lifted bouquet of red cherries, wild strawberries, and plum accented by delicate floral notes of violets and dried roses, along with hints of cinnamon, eucalyptus, and forest floor. On the palate, it is medium- to full-bodied, showing vibrant natural acidity and dense, fine-grained tannins that frame core red fruit and spice flavors leading into a long, mineral-driven finish.
