Verónica Ortega Cobrana Mencía Bierzo 2022

A magnificent and beautifully fluid Spanish red wine meticulously crafted by winemaker Verónica Ortega from an old, high-altitude field blend vineyard in the village of Cobrana. A co-fermentation of Mencía with native grape varieties including Alicante Bouschet, Palomino, and Doña Blanca, it is patiently aged in neutral oak foudres and clay amphorae to express a brilliant bouquet of fresh wild raspberries, red currants, crushed slate minerals, and delicate mountain flowers.
