A magnificent and prestigious Spanish red wine masterfully crafted from a single, high-altitude old vineyard site planted in 1949 within the Rioja Alavesa region. Composed primarily of Tempranillo with small percentages of Garnacha and Graciano, it is aged for nearly two years in select new French oak barrels to yield an expressive bouquet of concentrated black cherries, dark plums, licorice, exotic baking spices, and elegant mineral earthiness.
