Turntable Spirits x Starward Collaboration Drop 01 Whisky

Turntable Spirits x Starward Collaboration Drop 01 is a limited-edition Scottish-Australian blended whisky released in 2023 through a collaboration between Glasgow-based Turntable Spirits and Australia's Starward Whisky. The recipe combines 39% Starward Australian whisky matured in ex-Australian red wine casks with Scotch components from Inchgower, Caol Ila and North British. Bottled at 46% ABV, the whisky balances Starward's red-fruit character with tropical fruit, gentle Islay smoke, maritime notes, vanilla, coconut and warming spice. Turntable's official tasting profile highlights bonfire smoke, sea breeze, red berries, cigar-box spice and coconut.

Food Pairing: Pair with barbecued pork, grilled steak, smoked brisket, charcuterie, mature cheddar, grilled peaches, berry desserts, or dark chocolate.

Tasting Notes: Fruit-forward and gently smoky, bringing together red berries and stone fruit with tropical fruit, coastal smoke, coconut, oak and warming spice.

Nose: Red berry jam, stone fruit and cigar-box aromas develop alongside vanilla, coconut and a gentle maritime smokiness.

Palate: Juicy tropical and stone fruits lead into apricot and red berries, followed by soft peat smoke, clove, ginger and drying oak tannins.

Finish: Medium in length, with tobacco leaf, warming spice, subtle smoke and a gently drying oak character.

Serve: Enjoy neat or with a small splash of water. Its combination of red-wine fruitiness and coastal smoke also works well over a large cube of ice.
