Turntable Spirits Bittersweet Symphony Blended Scotch

Turntable Spirits Bittersweet Symphony is a rich, sherry-driven Blended Scotch Whisky from the Glasgow blending house Turntable Spirits. Bottled at 46% ABV, the blend combines malt whisky from Craigellachie, Balmenach and Blair Athol with grain whisky from North British. Pedro Ximénez and Oloroso sherry casks provide much of its dried-fruit and dark-chocolate character, while virgin oak adds vanilla, toffee and spice. Turntable describes the whisky as decadently sweet and malt-forward, finishing with dark chocolate and dried fruit. 

Food Pairing: Pair with roast beef, glazed pork, mature cheddar, blue cheese, roasted nuts, fruitcake, dark chocolate, crème brûlée, or raisin-based desserts.

Tasting Notes: Rich and sherry-forward, balancing dried fruit and dark chocolate with caramel, roasted malt, nuts, vanilla and warming spice.

Nose: Dried fruits, baked apple and raisins develop alongside dark chocolate, toasted malt, nuts, orange and warming baking spices.

Palate: Sweet and full-flavoured, with dark chocolate, dried fruit and roasted malt joined by toffee, nuts, orchard fruit and warming spice.

Finish: Medium and warming, with lingering dark chocolate, dried fruit, coffee-like bitterness and spice.

Serve: Enjoy neat, with a small splash of water, or over a large cube of ice.
