Tua Rita Redigaffi 2019 is an extraordinary expression of 100% Merlot, hailing from a vintage widely considered one of the finest of the decade in Tuscany. The 2019 season offered near-perfect conditions, resulting in a wine that balances monumental power with a level of aromatic precision and structural elegance rarely seen. Sourced from the estate's high-density, low-yielding plots in the mineral-rich soils of Suvereto, it was matured for approximately 18 months in 100% new French oak barriques.
On the nose, it delivers an opulent and multifaceted bouquet of blackberry liqueur, black cherry, and crushed violets, seamlessly integrated with sophisticated notes of dark chocolate, liquorice, and graphite. The palate is full-bodied and profoundly concentrated, yet it possesses a seamless, velvety texture. Flavours of black forest fruit, espresso, and sweet spice are underpinned by the signature ferrous minerality of the Maremma coast, leading to an incredibly long, resonant finish with noble, fine-grained tannins and a persistent balsamic lift.
