About the Two Rivers Distillery Cockscomb Hibiscus Gin 750ml
Two Rivers Distillery Cockscomb Hibiscus Gin is a colorful craft gin produced in Calgary, Alberta. Distilled with a base of 100% Alberta grain and Rocky Mountain water, this expression is infused post-distillation with cockscomb flowers and dried hibiscus petals. The infusion imparts a striking natural ruby-red hue along with a tart, floral, and berry-like flavor profile that complements its traditional gin backbone.
Food Pairing: Charcuterie with prosciutto and soft cheeses, goat cheese crostini, fresh berry tarts, grilled pork tenderloin, and summer citrus salads.
Tasting Notes: Vibrant ruby red in appearance with a smooth, juicy, and rounded mouthfeel.
Nose: Tangy hibiscus up front with floral cockscomb, accompanied by bright cranberry, crisp piney juniper, and zesty citrus peel.
Palate: Balanced and tart with prominent notes of tart hibiscus, red berries, and candied citrus, balanced by a clean dry juniper core and subtle spice.
Finish: Medium in length, crisp, and refreshing with lingering notes of tart floral berry skin and gentle pine warmth.
Serve: Serve over ice with premium tonic water or lemonade garnished with a wheel of fresh lime or grapefruit, or build into a vibrant Gin Sour or French 75.
