Super Tuscan red blend that showcases a brilliant combination of power and maritime-influenced refinement. Sourced from the sustainably farmed estate vineyards of Tenuta San Giovanni in Castelnuovo Berardenga, situated in the southernmost zone of Chianti Classico, this wine is typically composed of equal parts Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc. In the glass, it reveals a deep, intense ruby hue with violet highlights. The highly expressive nose opens with a complex, laser-focused bouquet of ripe black currants, black cherries, and dark plums, masterfully layered with refined undertones of crushed granite, graphite, fresh lavender, pencil shavings, clove, and toasted oak. On the palate, the wine is medium-to-full-bodied and strikingly vibrant, delivering a seamless fluid coherence where its core of bold, plush black fruits is supported by a racy spine of natural acidity and tight-grained, dusty tannins. The texture transitions into a velvety, supple mid-palate, concluding with a remarkably long, polished, and persistent finish marked by lingering notes of tobacco leaf and savory balsamic complexities.
