The Famous Grouse Smoky Black Blended Scotch Whisky

The Famous Grouse Smoky Black is a peated Blended Scotch Whisky created as a smokier interpretation of the classic Famous Grouse style. Originally launched as The Black Grouse in 2007, it was renamed The Famous Grouse Smoky Black in 2015. The blend combines malt and grain Scotch whiskies with a greater emphasis on peated malt, producing a balance of smoke, malt sweetness, dried fruit and spice. It is bottled at 40% ABV.

Food Pairing: Smoked cheddar, grilled meats, barbecue dishes, roasted nuts or dark chocolate.

Tasting Notes: A smooth, approachable smoky blend combining peat and toasted malt with caramel sweetness, dried fruit, oak and warming spice.

Nose: Soft peat smoke with malt, dried fruit, subtle sweetness, toasted cereal and hints of coffee.

Palate: Smoky malt and gentle peat supported by caramel, dried fruit, oak and warming spice.

Finish: Dry and gently smoky, with lingering malt, oak and subtle spice.

Serve: Enjoy neat, over ice, with a splash of water or in a smoky Scotch highball.
