The Newfoundland Distillery Co. Seaweed Gin 750ml

The Newfoundland Distillery Co. Seaweed Gin is a coastal craft spirit produced by The Newfoundland Distillery Company in Clarke's Beach, Newfoundland. Distilled using locally grown barley and rye, this expression is infused with hand-harvested sugar kelp (seaweed) gathered from the shores of Newfoundland, alongside wild juniper and classic botanicals. The sugar kelp imparts a subtle savory, umami quality and a hint of ocean salinity that harmonizes with the crisp, resinous juniper base.

Food Pairing: Fresh oysters on the half shell, seared scallops, fish and chips, smoked salmon blinis, and sushi.

Tasting Notes: Crystal clear in appearance with a smooth, round, and slightly savory mouthfeel.

Nose: Fresh and coastal with aromas of sea breeze, subtle ocean salinity, and mineral notes, backed by crisp piney juniper and bright citrus zest.

Palate: Well-balanced with a delicate umami richness, light saltiness, and savory kelp flavors, balanced by resinous juniper, peppery coriander, and subtle grain sweetness.

Finish: Clean, crisp, and refreshing with a lingering savory coastal minerality and dry pine warmth.

Serve: Serve over ice topped with premium tonic water garnished with a slice of fresh cucumber or a sprig of rosemary, or mix into a coastal Dirty Martini.
