The Macallan 'The Harmony Collection' Inspired by Fresh Coconut is the sixth and concluding release in The Macallan's sustainability-minded Harmony series. This vibrant, limited-edition expression departs from the distillery's signature heavy sherry-fruit profile to showcase a surprisingly bright, tropical character rarely seen from the estate. By carefully selecting sherry-seasoned American oak casks—which naturally possess high levels of oak lactones—and finessing the blend with ex-bourbon casks, Master Whisky Maker Kirsteen Campbell coaxed out a naturally developed fresh coconut flavor without the use of any added flavoring. Bottled at 46.3% ABV, it perfectly balances the science of wood management with the art of whisky making. In keeping with the collection's ethos, the presentation box is crafted from repurposed, discarded coconut fibers.

Food Pairing: Grilled pineapple, coconut and cocoa tartlets, white chocolate desserts, mango and lime sorbet, or delicate vanilla pastries.

Nose : A highly unusual profile for the distillery, leading with fresh coconut and zesty lime, followed by lemon, orange, ripe mango, and papaya, all lifted by sweet vanilla, toasted almond, sweet oak, and a delicate touch of nutmeg and cinnamon.

Palate : Sweet and creamy, unfolding with layers of coconut milk, sweet lime, vanilla sponge cake, icing sugar, and dried coconut, balanced by gentle American oak sweetness and dried tropical fruit.
