Douglas Laing The Gauldrons Cask Strength Edition Campbeltown Blended Malt Scotch

The Gauldrons Cask Strength Edition is a limited-edition Campbeltown Blended Malt Scotch Whisky from Douglas Laing & Co. Created from a marriage of selected single malts sourced exclusively from Campbeltown, this expression presents The Gauldrons at a higher 52.8% ABV. Bottled without chill filtration or added colouring, it amplifies the maritime, malty and gently smoky character associated with the range, delivering layers of sea salt, sweet malt, vanilla, spice and coastal smoke.

Food Pairing: Mature cheddar, smoked meats, roasted nuts, salted caramel desserts, dark chocolate or traditional shortbread.

Tasting Notes: Full-bodied and coastal with sweet malt and vanilla balanced by sea salt, warming spice, oak and gentle Campbeltown smoke.

Nose: Sweet malt and vanilla with maritime sea air, gentle smoke and warming spice.

Palate: Rich and powerful with honeyed malt, vanilla, cereal and coastal salinity accompanied by peppery spice and subtle smoke.

Finish: Long and warming with lingering sea salt, malt sweetness, oak spice and gentle smoke.

Serve: Enjoy neat to experience its full cask-strength character, or gradually add a few drops of water to reveal more sweetness, malt and coastal complexity.
