The English Whisky Company Smokey Single Malt Whisky

Produced by The English Distillery, formerly known as The English Whisky Company, at St George’s Distillery in Roudham, Norfolk, The English Smokey is a peated English single malt matured in specially selected ex-bourbon casks. The whisky combines savoury peat smoke with vanilla sweetness, citrus and warming spice, offering a smoky but approachable alternative to heavier peated styles. Bottled at 43% ABV, it is non-chill filtered and presented at natural colour.

Food Pairing: Smoked meats, grilled pork, mature cheddar, dark chocolate, roasted nuts, or citrus-based desserts.

Tasting Notes: Smoky and warming, balancing savoury peat with vanilla sweetness, citrus, tropical fruit and peppery spice.

Nose: Aromatic and gently smoky, with vanilla, aniseed and ginger cake alongside white pepper, peat and a touch of citrus zest.

Palate: Light peat develops into richer warming smoke, supported by vanilla, ginger, aniseed, citrus rind and tropical fruit.

Finish: Long, spicy and smouldering, with lingering peat smoke and warming spice.
