The English Whisky Company Original Single Malt Whisky

Produced by The English Distillery at St George’s Distillery in Roudham, Norfolk, The English Original is an easy-drinking, unpeated English single malt and a core expression in the distillery’s range. Matured in specially selected ex-bourbon casks, it develops a balanced profile of vanilla, tropical fruit, nuts, chocolate and bright citrus with a clean, malty finish. It is bottled at 43% ABV, non-chill filtered and presented at natural colour.

Food Pairing: Roast chicken, mild cheddar, toasted nuts, vanilla desserts, citrus tart, or grilled pork with a lightly sweet glaze.

Tasting Notes: Smooth, balanced and approachable, combining tropical fruit and vanilla sweetness with nuts, chocolate, citrus and clean malt character.

Nose: Gentle and inviting, with creamy vanilla and tropical fruit accompanied by subtle malt sweetness and soft oak.

Palate: Smooth and rounded, showing nuts and chocolate alongside lively citrus, vanilla and sweet malt.

Finish: Long and malty with a clean, dry character and a subtle touch of salinity.

Serve: Enjoy neat at room temperature in a Glencairn or tulip-shaped glass, over ice, or with a small splash of water to open its vanilla and fruit character.
