About the The Busker Single Grain
Produced by Royal Oak Distillery in County Carlow, Ireland, The Busker Single Grain is an Irish single grain whiskey made from corn together with malted and unmalted barley and distilled using continuous distillation. It is matured and finished in American bourbon casks and rare Marsala casks sourced from Cantine Florio 1833 in Sicily. The Marsala influence adds dried-fruit character to the naturally light grain-whiskey profile, complementing its caramel, vanilla and oak flavours. It is bottled at 44.3% ABV.
Food Pairing: Caramel desserts, apple tart, roasted nuts, mild cheeses, grilled pork, or vanilla-based desserts.
Tasting Notes: Light and approachable with a pale straw appearance, combining caramel sweetness and vanilla with gentle oak, dried fruit and warming spice.
Nose: Soft and sweet, with fudge and caramel aromas accompanied by fresh vanilla and subtle seasoned oak.
Palate: Light and rounded, showing caramel, vanilla and oak alongside dried fruit, gentle spice and a subtle hay-like character.
Finish: Long, dry and gently sweet, with lingering vanilla, oak and soft caramel notes.
Serve: Enjoy neat at room temperature, over ice, or in a classic whiskey highball for a lighter, refreshing serve.
