About the Eric Texier Brezeme Domaine de Pergaud 'Vieille Rousette'
Éric Texier Côtes du Rhône Brézème Domaine de Pergaud 'Vieille Roussette' is an exceptionally rare, complex, and profound natural white wine produced by organic winemaking pioneer Éric Texier. Sourced from ancient Roussanne vines planted in 1936 on steep, south-facing limestone marl terraces in the historic Brézème zone, this flagship cuvée represents the absolute pinnacle of old-vine white wine expression in the region. Fermented with native yeasts and aged on fine lees in concrete tanks and old oak without added sulfur, fining, or filtration, it opens with expressive aromas of yellow apples, ripe orchard fruit, wild honeysuckle, beeswax, and delicate oxidative nuances. On the palate, it is full-bodied, texturally rich, and deeply structured, delivering dense stone fruit flavors framed by a taut vein of limestone acidity and a long, savory finish.
Food Pairing: Pairs wonderfully with roasted pork tenderloin, seared sea scallops, braised poultry in cream sauce, wild mushroom risotto, and aged Gruyère cheese.
