Sondraia is the flagship wine of Poggio al Tesoro, crafted from select vineyards in Bolgheri. This powerful yet refined red blend offers intense aromas of blackcurrant, blackberry, violet, dark chocolate, cedar, and Mediterranean herbs. Richly structured with polished tannins and remarkable depth, it delivers exceptional concentration, elegance, and a long, age-worthy finish. 

Food Pairing: Pairs best with beef tenderloin, grilled lamb, braised short ribs, game meats, and aged hard cheeses.

Blackcurrants, violets, pine needles, bark, and dark chocolate. Medium- to full-bodied with refined and polished tannins and a long and beautiful finish. The finish is fantastic with a crunchy character and hints of dark chocolate. Best after 2025 but already a joy to taste.

95 Points - Wine Enthusiast

The nose is all pepper and savory spices at first, before black cherries, currants and a bit of dark chocolate pop through. The berries and chocolate take over on the palate, but the wine is anchored by a savory salinity and more peppery heat. A wine that overdelivers for its price point.
